Nicole Kidman |
Nicole Mary Kidman was born in Hawaii on the 20th June 1967. And her sign is Sun in Gemini, Moon in Sagittarius.
Nicole started ballet at the age of 3 and mime at 8 where she showed an artistic inclination, and then she enrolled in drama school at the age of 10. Nicole later attended St. Martin's Youth Theatre in Melbourne.
At the age of 14 she starred in her first film role as Helen in the Australian TV Movie Bush Christmas. By then Nicole was 5’ 9" tall.
She starred in several other Australian TV Movies, most notably Vietnam and Bangkok Hilton which earned her Best Actress awards from the Australian Film Institute.
However, it was not until 1989 with
her inspired starring role as Rae Ingram in the thriller Dead Calm with its
disturbing rape scene that Hollywood noticed Nicole.

Nicole then starred in her first Hollywood film Days of Thunder along side Tom Cruise. Tom reportedly said "My first reaction to meeting Nic was pure lust..."; which I think we can all understand.
In 1990 shortly after Days of Thunder and at the age of 23 Nicole became the second wife of Tom Cruise at a secret ceremony on the 24th December in Colorado, USA.
Even though Nicole is unable to ‘tan’, due to a minor genetic quirk, her versatility, personality and skill has transcended this Hollywood ‘big time’ barrier. Nicole proved that she is not just ‘Mrs Tom Cruise’ by starring in 3 films during her first year of marriage.
From then she appeared in many films,
gaining experience and fans as she went. Nicole worked along side such actors

Alec Baldwin (in Malice), Michael Keaton (in My Life) and of course Tom Cruise (in Far and Away).
In 1995 Nicole took the world by storm by first appearing in Batman Forever as Dr. Chase Meridian along side Val Kilmer; And then taking the leading role in the black comedy To Die For.
In 1996 Portrait of a Lady proved that Nicole had even more talent, and that her acting skill was growing film by film.
1999 saw Nicole and Tom in the last Stanley Kubrick film - Eyes Wide Shut where she proved that she is "a thoroughbred".
Although Nicole and Tom have not had any children they have adopted 2, Isabella Jane and Connor Anthony. It should also be noted that Nicole is now 5'10" tall.
December 2000 Nicole and Tom celebrated 10 years of marriage together, and for all the world they seemed to still be blissfully in love.
6th February 2001 - It's announced that Nicole and Tom are to 'regretfully separate' due to 'difficulties that are inherent in their divergent careers which constantly keep them apart'. The Media are having a field day, I am sure that this story will run and run.
8th Feb 2001 - Tom in a shock move files for divorce from Nicole - Why is this happening so soon - it can't just be to do with Californian law .I know where most people's loyalties and mine lie...
March 16th 2001 - Tragic news, we are all saddened to hear that Nicole has lost her and Tom's baby - worse still Tom does not seem to care. At times like these Nic needs all of the friends she can get.
19th April 2001 - In Nicole's first major public appearance since splitting with Tom she was described as 'relaxed'. Nic was in New York for a special premiere of Moulin Rouge to an 'A-list' of 300 invited guests.
May 9th 2001 - Moulin Rouge opens
the Cannes Film Festival and everyone is so impressed with Nicole, her singing
and acting as well as the film it's self. This is possibly the best film Nic
has stared in - and definitely could not have come at a more strained time.
